Find Out What Our Neighbor MIT Has to Offer

Another perk of the neighborhood is how close it is to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the many life science and start-up companies that find value in its proximity to the talent pool created by the university.

If you aren’t an MIT student or faculty member, or don’t work in the Kendall Square area, there are still many reasons to venture over to MIT’s campus in your spare time. Here are a few activities you can do:

Marvel at the architecture: There are many impressive buildings on MIT’s campus that illustrate a variety of architectural styles. The most well-known of these include the Great Dome, the MIT Chapel, and the Strata Center, but there are many others listed here that are also worth a visit.

Take in the public art: MIT is full of distinctive public art, from its famous Alchemist statue to The Borderline Mural Project, which features 200+ feet of murals in MIT’s underground tunnels.
